God's purpose for your life Hello everyone this is Tania and welcome to the Moms for Christ Podcast. I just want to share a verse that has really been on my heart for the past few weeks, it comes from first Peter chapter 2 verse 9 and it says, “But you are chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God's special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.” This verse is speaking to the elect of God. Those called to be followers of Christ, that were brought out of darkness just like Christ brought the Israelites out of Egypt to worship the Lord. We have been brought out of darkness and the world to proclaim all the goodness that God has done in our lives. This verse reminds us that we were called to so much more, that we are precious and that our lives have a purpose, and that purpose is to bring worship to the Lord!

"We have been brought out of darkness and the world to proclaim all the goodness that God has done in our lives."
I know that with my son, I'm always trying to connect him in a way that interests him and one of those ways is comic books. Recently him and I had a conversation about a comic book character who didn't realize that he had a purpose and he began to overeat and overindulge in different things. When it came time for him to fulfill that purpose, he really couldn't because he wasn't prepared, his body wasn't prepared. He had destroyed his body. I was speaking to my son and saying that God has called him to so much more and while he's young, he should prepare for that. He should remember that he has a calling in his life and that his life is precious. That calling is to worship the Lord, that calling is to serve the Lord and him doing it while he's young only prepares him for when he's older. In that preparation when that day arrives, that God calls him to do something, he'll be ready. I really want my children not to give themselves to other things and remember that their lives are precious and that God has called them to something greater. I always try to remind them of where we came from. We spend a lot of time talking about what our lives were and what God has done so that they always remember that God is good and that He is faithful and that he'll bring us through all of our situations and circumstances.

"That you have a purpose for their lives, that you have a plan for their lives Lord, and that they would live and walk in that purpose and plan."
Would you just join me today in praying for the children that they would remember that their lives are precious and that they have purpose. That they don't give themselves to anything other than Christ because our lives were headed towards destruction and God came and changed the whole entire course of our lives. Out of that thanksgiving, we praise Him and we worship Him and we live our lives pleasing to Him, because we are so grateful that we didn't have to continue in the way that we were going. Lord, we just thank you. We thank you that you have had mercy upon us Lord God. We thank you for your goodness. We thank you for your grace. We thank you for your love and your kindness and your mercy Lord God. That you saw where we were at, but you didn't leave us there Lord. That you have called us precious Lord Jesus, that you have called us your special possession and that you have called us to something so much greater than ourselves Lord God. That you have called us to bring worship unto you Lord God, because of your goodness and your mercy upon our lives Lord. We thank you Lord Jesus that you have had mercy Lord God. We thank you that you have called us to something greater, Lord God, and we pray that there would be an understanding within each and every one of our children of how precious their life is to you Lord Jesus. How you have called them to something so much greater than themselves, something so much greater than maybe they can even see right now but Lord, I pray that while they're young it would be instilled in their hearts Lord. That you have a purpose for their lives, that you have a plan for their lives Lord, and that they would live and walk in that purpose and plan. That they would not forget that you have called them Lord God. That they would not forget that once their life was meant for the world Lord, which is not life Lord, it's the opposite of life. But now you have called them to life, to live. In that living, in that joy, they bring thanksgiving, they bring worship, and they bring praise to your name. Lord God we just thank you, we thank you Lord that there is none like you. We praise you and we worship you, even now that you have brought us into something so special so much more than ourselves Lord, Amen! God bless and have a wonderful week!
