Deut. 4:5-7
See, I have taught you decrees and laws as the Lord my God commanded me, so that you may follow them in the land you are entering to take possession of it. Observe them carefully, for this will show your wisdom and understanding to the nations, who will hear about all these decrees and say, “Surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people.”

It is during this month in the book of Exodus during the plagues that God began to make a distinction. Be assured that God always makes a distinction among those of Egypt and His people. He calls it a great nation, it is made up of those who by faith in the redemptive work of Jesus Christ on the cross have been grafted to “spiritual Israel”.  The house of God.  It is the New Jerusalem. Soon the Lord will come and take us out of Egypt and “spiritual Israel” will become tangible for every eye to see and touch.

It is now that God says, let the surrounding nations boast of my people. Let them see how wise and understanding they are. They are the people whose God is with them. Surely, His decrees have given them great wisdom and they truly understand his ways!!  For the truth, the light and the way is in their midst!

They are like no other people of the earth…for their God is leading them!!
