To the Jews who had believed him, Jesus said, “If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”John 8:31-32

What exactly is truth? If you go into the world, “truth” changes from culture to culture. Different countries have different truths that they live by. Even within this country, ask someone what the truth is and it will vary from person to person.

There is only one constant truth in this universe that does not change with time, perspective or culture; His name is The Lord Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is the universal truth that every person, no matter who you are or where you have come from, can cling onto for eternity.

How do you know if you have the truth? “If you hold to my teachings, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth…” Those who know the truth that comes from the gospel message cannot help but to lay their lives down and worship their king for eternity. They cannot help but to chase out the sin in their lives to be closer to the King of Kings. FREEDOM comes from knowing the truth!

I pray that the truth of Jesus Christ; the truth of His life, death and resurrection, would be alive and active in you today.
