The Seed Taking Root
When you sow, you do not plant the body that will be, but just a seed, perhaps of wheat or of something else. But God gives it a body as he has determined, and to each kind of seed he gives its own body.1 Corinthians 15:37-38Church,
As Pastor Janeth Santiago was speaking last night I kept thinking of the potential energy stored up in just one seed. That one seed, when planted in good soil, has the potential to grow up and become a huge tree with deep roots.
Then I began to think about ministry. How are we going about spreading the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ? We should not be going about spreading a “Story”, it is so much more than that. We should be going forth spreading the seed. Knowing that every seed we give out has the potential to develop into an oak of righteousness.
This seed is alive and active and it looking to take root in people’s hearts. Let us speak not just a story but the transforming seed of God that has the potential to bring about life-altering change.
Amen,
Kris
