Hi everyone! It's Tania, and welcome to the Moms for Christ podcast. The Word I have today comes from 1 Thessalonians, chapter 5, verse 24, and it says, “The One who calls you is faithful, and He will do it.”

Recently, I've been thinking a lot about Noah and the Lord's faithfulness to him. He was called to build an ark; the Lord gave him specific instructions on how He wanted the ark built. Noah was obedient to the Lord, and the Lord spared Noah, his three sons, and their wives. I began thinking of how faithful God has been in my life. It's overwhelming when I think about how undeserving I am of His faithfulness. Noah was a Jew; I am not a Jew but a Gentile - one that is not entitled, one that is undeserving and unclean. Yet, in God's loving mercy, He has proven to be faithful time and time again in my life.

"What have I done with His faithfulness?"
I sometimes wonder: What have I done with His faithfulness? How many times have I taken His faithfulness for granted? When I'm blessed by His faithfulness, what do I do with it?

In Genesis 8:20 it says, “Then Noah built an altar to the Lord and, taking some of all the clean animals and clean birds, he sacrificed burnt offerings on it.” The first thing Noah did when he and his family came out of the ark was to build an altar to the Lord because he was thankful. He understood that God could have taken his life and his family's lives. But, Noah trusted God, and God carried his family all the way through the storm. The altar pleased the Lord and caused the Lord to make a covenant or promise to all mankind and animals, never to flood the earth again. He gave a rainbow as a reminder to us and, to this day, He has been faithful in keeping His promise.

In obedience the Lord empowered Noah to do the impossible, and that same power is for each of us. When we are obedient to His will, He meets us at obedience, empowering us to do the impossible. God is gonna call each of us to move in ways that may seem impossible for us, but when we keep our eyes on the Lord and follow Him, He does it.

"I want my children to see me living a life that builds... obedience to the One who calls us..."
Noah was an old man when he was called to build the ark. For anyone, this would have been an overwhelming task to build an ark - and prepare everything that would have to go into the ark. Yet he kept his eyes on the Lord and the Lord sustained him and his family. I want my children to see me living a life that builds an ark - that we can go in and we are safe from every storm. I want them to see obedience to the One who calls us. I want them to see a life that is continuously building altars to the Lord in thanksgiving.

Lord, thank You so much for Your faithfulness to us. Thank You for Your sustenance. Lord, I pray that in every situation and circumstance, our eyes would be fixed on You. Lord, please teach us, that we may teach others. Lord, please forgive us for taking Your faithfulness for granted, and open our eyes to see that You’re faithful in everything. Lord, I pray that anytime a storm would rise in our lives that we would look up and see a rainbow, and remember that You are faithful - and You will do it. Amen. God bless and have a wonderful day. I will speak to you soon.
