God reigns over the nations;
God is seated on his holy throne.
The nobles of the nations assemble
as the people of the God of Abraham,
for the kings of the earth belong to God;
he is greatly exalted.Psalm 47:8-9

Watching or reading the news you can hear about many men around the world with a lot of power and influence. Whether they are leaders of armies, voices that influence millions or the head of countries, these men’s decisions can have lasting effects in this world.

But even with all that power, none can compare to the power of our God. He stands as Lord over all of the world and while nations rise and fall, He never changes. While people may claim allegiance to worldly leaders, there will be a time when every knee will bow and every tongue confesses that Jesus Christ is Lord.

Our God is King over the entire world. If all of the kings of the earth belong to God, how much more should we be exalting Him as King in our lives. As His people, let us acknowledge that He is the [intlink id=”6554″ type=”post” anchor=”King of Kings”]King of Kings[/intlink] and let our lives show which King we serve.
