With praise and thanksgiving they sang to the Lord:
“He is good; his love toward Israel endures forever.”
And all the people gave a great shout of praise to the Lord, because the foundation of the house of the Lord was laid.
Ezra 3:11

Church,
This must have been such an exciting time for the Jews who had invested so much to see the House of God rebuilt. After all of their work, they were seeing the building laid out and the foundation set. They were not excited only about the foundation but of how it was a sign of what was to come and what would be.

Has God established a foundation in your heart? This is such an exciting time for the church for we can see not only the physical building being established but we can see the foundation of God being laid and set in the hearts of His people. We know that this is just the beginning and the foundation is only a sign of what is to come.

When the foundation of faith is set firm inside of your heart God can build amazing things on it. He can build love, hope, joy, peace and fruit that will bring Him glory and be a sign of His sovereignty.

Let us give God a shout for He is good and His love towards us endures forever!
