Psalm 49:7-9
No one can redeem the life of another or give to God a ransom for them—the ransom for a life is costly, no payment is ever enough—so that they should live on forever and not see decay.

Imagine how high the price must be to redeem just one life. If we were to sell all we had and give up everything, even our own lives, it would not be enough to redeem just one soul.

Yet Jesus Christ went to the cross and redeemed not one life but the souls of every single one of His children. A man could never redeem the life of another yet Jesus Christ loved us so much that He went to the cross sinless so that the righteous would never see decay.

We, people of God, have been redeemed! May we live a life worthy of the calling we have received, remembering each day how much it cost for us to be redeemed and who went to the cross to pay our debt.
