Oh, that my ways were steadfast in obeying your decrees! Then I would not be put to shame when I consider all your commands. (‭Psalm‬ ‭119‬:‭5-6‬ NIV)

Each and and everyday we should be able to compare our actions to God’s Word to see if we’ve been in “tune.” And when we consider His commands we are either thankful that we’ve been obedient, or left in shame that we’ve not walked according to His great instructions.

What will it be for you today? Will you cry out for a steadfast heart to follow? The Psalmist desired a STEADFAST heart to be diligent and consistent in following the Word of God. Not choosing God one day and not the next.

The result of a steadfast heart is freedom and joy before the Lord who can empower those who believe in the power of His Word! Let’s cry out for steadfast hearts today. Steadfast in following His Words. And may we rejoice in the goodness and mercy of our Father that empowers those who seek His kingdom!
