Sing to the Lord a new song, for he has done marvelous things; his right hand and his holy arm have worked salvation for him.

Throughout the Bible, especially Psalms, you can read about men and woman singing songs to the Lord in joyous times. Their songs uplifted God and were songs of great praise. They spoke of deliverance, peace, salvation and God remembering His people.

The Lord is calling us to be singing a new song, for this is a great and joyous time for us. The church has been rescued and delivered, sing a new song! God has taken you from the grave and set you on a new path, sing a new song! The Lord has given you the grace to see when you were once blind, sing a new song!

What does your new song sound like today? What has God done, that you cannot keep quite about, that you need to sing Him praise for?

May the church be singing a new song today. A song that speaks about the wonders and miracles that God is doing in our midst.
