By the first day of the first month of Noah’s six hundred and first year, the water had dried up from the earth. Noah then removed the covering from the ark and saw that the surface of the ground was dry.Genesis 8:13

When Pastor spoke about this on Thursday it immediately hit my heart. To think about how long Noah was stuck under that covering being sheltered from the storm. After the storm finally subsided, Noah was able to take the covering off and feel the sun on his face.

Noah’s story reminds me of how God operates. During the storm He is our shelter and our shield. But when the storm passes, our covering is removed and we are fully exposed to the glory of God. Weeping may tarry during the night but His joy comes in the morning!
