Karen McBee and her husband, Dwight, have two beautiful daughters, Siena, who is in elementary school, and Maya, who is a young teenager. When Siena was a toddler, Karen and Dwight learned that she had a rare neurological disorder called Rett Syndrome that impairs her ability to speak, eat, walk, and sometimes breath. This diagnosis came close to breaking their family apart but instead God used this beautiful little girl to lead them to Himself.
They looked for help and healing in every way possible, but came to the realization that the help they needed could only be found in God. They began to seek the Lord and started attending United Faith Church. It is here that they found the hope, peace, and love of Christ in Pastors Jerry and Janeth Santiago and an entire family of believers.
Today, both Karen and Dwight serve in the children’s ministry and other ministries at United Faith Church. They are raising their two daughters in the love of Christ and their hope is that their girls will continue to build an enduring relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ and serve Him all the days of their lives.
