Who may ascend the mountain of the Lord?
Who may stand in his holy place?
The one who has clean hands and a pure heart, who does not trust in an idol
or swear by a false god.
They will receive blessing from the Lord and vindication from God their Savior.
Such is the generation of those who seek him, who seek your face, God of Jacob.Psalm 24:3-6

God The Father stands on His holy mountain, high above all rulers and principalities. He looks down on the world and by His very Word calls things to be and they come to be. He is the judge over all of the world and no man can look upon His face…

After looking at the Father in that light, how can we ever think to reach Him? To look at Him high on top of that Holy mountain He seems unreachable.

The Father looked down and saw that man could not reach their Creator. So He sent His only son, Jesus Christ, down to the earth to make the way. He sent His Holy Spirit to guide us up the mountain. We, having received that gift, are transformed and made into the likeness of Christ. Our hearts change from the desires of sin and we become those who crave righteousness.

Who can ascend the mountain of the Lord and stand in His holy place? Those who have accepted the Son, who have had their hearts transformed and their hands cleaned.

It is time for us to climb the mountain! Jesus Christ made the way to not have to stay on the ground but to climb up and be seated in the heavenly realms with God. That is our blessing; that is our vindication. May we be a generation that climbs the mountain and stands in the holy place with our Father.
