Luke 4:18

“The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free…”

At this moment Jesus spoke the words of Isaiah as the man who would fulfill this very Scripture. Jesus is the one who has come to bring freedom! Freedom from the bondage of sin, freedom from the world and it’s oppression, freedom to come to God and experience his presence!

May we today think about the freedom that he’s brought into our lives. We were once lost in the rebellion of our sin, we were once so far from God not knowing him or his ways…but TODAY we can come closer to Him than ever before. Because of the work that Jesus did we are able to be different, to stand out as his very own and show the world how awesome God is. This is the Good News!

Has Jesus set  you free? Then rejoice and pray that he would reveal himself through your life to others…

Are you in bondage? Then make the decision to turn to the Son of God and to turn away from your self so that He can impart His in life in you…

May the Word of God ignite in His people today, and may we honor the mercy that he’s had over our lives and our families!
