1 Peter 2:24
 “He himself bore our sins” in his body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; “by his wounds you have been healed.”

As we spoke about on Sunday, let us not go through this day as just another day. As you go through your day, imagine what Jesus was experiencing at each hour. From the time He was arrested, to the time He was brought before Pilate and all the way until He was nailed to the cross.

We know that each lash Jesus took, each insult that He bore, was all so that we could be free. Every minute He endured brought us one step closer to being reconciled to the Father. He went through all of this, so that I could know eternal life.

Thank you Jesus for going to the cross and dying for me! You took on my sin so that I could die to it and live righteously! May my life live up to your powerful sacrifice.
