Hi everyone. It’s Tania, and welcome to the Moms for Christ podcast. I was going through my daughter's notebook and I saw a drawing she had done, and it was a drawing of the sanctuary in our church. And she drew it because she loves to be in the sanctuary so much, and she drew it for the times when she's not able to be in the sanctuary to still be able to look at it and remember, and it was just such a sweet drawing.

You know, it reminds me of a Word that the Lord has been speaking this week, and it comes from the Book of Psalms chapter 84, verse 10. And it says, “Better is one day in Your courts than a thousand elsewhere; I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of the wicked.” This verse is speaking of a person that has come to the understanding that they would rather be in the Lord's house than in the world. They would rather take a lowly position that would be a doorkeeper and what the world would call a lowly position, than to take a high position in the house of the wicked. That to be near the Lord, for even a moment, is better than eternity anywhere else.

I remember the first time the Lord spoke this Word into my heart. It was a time of trial. I was feeling as though I didn't have a place or a position in this house. And the Lord, in His mercy, spoke these words into my heart, and it hit something inside of me to say, ‘Okay Lord, I don't need a position, I need You. I need to be in Your house. And any way to be in Your house is better than to have all the status in the world in the house of the wicked.’ And we teach our children about the gift of being in the Lord's house, and that it's not something to take lightly, but it's something to treasure - and whatever God uses you for, it's a gift from the Lord because He gives you the opportunity to be in His house.

"...my prayer is that our children would truly come to understand that to serve in the Lord's house - to dwell in the Lord's house - is better than anything that the world would tell them, is better than anything that the world has to offer because it's truly only in the Lord's house that the truth is found."

You know, the world is an illusion, and the world will try to say that to have the status, or that everything that you think you want in this world is in the tents of the wicked. But, in the Lord's house, that's where truth is found. In that truth, there is freedom in the Lord. And so, I'm just so grateful that the Lord has called us to be in His house, and my prayer is that our children would truly come to understand that to serve in the Lord's house - to dwell in the Lord's house - is better than anything that the world would tell them, is better than anything that the world has to offer because it's truly only in the Lord's house that the truth is found. It's truly only in the Lord's house that freedom is found. It's truly only in the Lord's house that joy and wisdom and peace and understanding is found, and that the world does not have that, the world cannot offer that.

"...I ask this day that our children would see that to dwell in Your house, Lord God, is where life is found...is where You are found, and Lord, to know You is to come to life..."

And so, would you just join me in praying for the children, that they would see the value in being in the Lord's house - and that they would choose to be in the Lord's house all the days of their life. Lord we just thank You so much, Lord, that You have called us to dwell in Your house, Lord God. That we would see the gift in being in Your house, Lord. That we would see that to be a gatekeeper in Your house, Lord God, is better. It's better than anything that this world has to offer because this world has nothing to offer and everything is found in You, Lord Jesus. Lord, I pray that our children will come to understand that their status is never going to be found in any position that they hold in life - that the only Person, the only thing that will ever validate them is You, Lord. That You bring the validation and that that validation is only found in knowing You - it's only found in coming closer to You. Lord, I ask this day that our children would see that to dwell in Your house, Lord God, is where life is found. To dwell in Your house, Lord God, is where You are found, and Lord, to know You is to come to life, Lord God. Lord, let our children see that nothing else in this world satisfies like You satisfy - that nothing in this world fills like You fill, and that nothing in this world brings joy and peace like You do. And so Lord, I pray this day that our children would desire to dwell in Your house all the days of their life - seeking You, to be near You, to hear You speak and to be close to You. I pray, Lord God that this day, our children would look, Lord, and say, ‘Better is one day in Your courts than a thousand elsewhere.’ Amen. God bless and have a wonderful day. I'll speak to you soon.
