1 Peter 1:24-25
“All people are like grass,and all their glory is like the flowers of the field; the grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of the Lord endures forever.” And this is the word that was preached to you.

Today, I was thinking about all the change that I have seen in my lifetime. I am only 29 years old but in that short time there has been so much change in my life, in this country and even in this world.

Looking throughout history we can see the drastic changes that have taken place. We can see the change that has taken place in peoples values and their views on right and wrong. Laws that were once thought to be permanent have been altered and changed to suit culture. Even on a global level, we can see countries that have grown into and fallen out of power.

We are constantly surrounded by the change of the world. The Bible says that the world we live in will continue to change and transform but the Word of God will never change. The Word of God will continue to be the one consistent thing in this world that will endure forever.

If the Word of God does not change, then that means the Church of God will endure also. That unwavering Holy Word is what empowers and exalts the church. It is that powerful word that brings life, power and transformation.

As the world around us changes, may the Church stand strong on the Word of God. The ways of the world are like flowers constantly blooming new and than falling down but the Word of God will always remain consistently infallible and constantly driving us towards The Father.

Thank you Lord for your unchanging Word that was preached to us!
