This may seem like a simple statement but the truth of this verse means a great deal for the Christian. The Jews have always coveted their firm position as God’s select people. But by belonging to Christ, we as a people outside of God, have been grafted in to the thousands of years of lineage of Gods Holy People.

Since man has spread on this earth, we as Gentiles have always been separate from God. We have a lineage of separation and distance from the God of the Universe. But by one act of obedience, Jesus Christ crucified, our whole lineage is wiped away and we became heirs according to the promise.

Thank you Lord that my past and lineage do not matter. For by Jesus Christ, I have been grafted into a new line, a line that worships and honors you.

Thank you God that although I do not deserve it, I have become one of Abraham’s seed.
