All of us have come across different types of joy in the world. Joy when their football team wins, joy when the paycheck comes or joy when everything seems to be going right.

What is the difference between joy of the world and joy from God? Joy of the world is ever fleeting and constantly changing. The joy from God, however, lasts eternally.

As much as people cheer for sports or laugh when their bank accounts are full, their joy cannot be compared to the joy from the Kingdom of God.

Our joy cannot be changed because it is not based on circumstance but on the goodness and faithfulness of our God. Our joy cannot be tarnished by the world for it is not of this world but comes straight down from heaven. Our joy cannot be measured for how could we measure the love that our God in heaven has for His children.

The Lord has put more joy in my heart than the world could offer in a lifetime. Let the joy of the Lord abound in your hearts and cause an outpouring of thankfulness!
